ModBESS delivers extensible software to control and optimize the value of any battery system or any other form of energy storage (such as building thermal storage and water storage).

We understand that value is a tradeoff between reliability and economy. We listen to you and your requirements drive the solution. It will be tuned to your specific needs.

We not only consider the battery parameters and limitations, but also the environment in which it operates. We optimize in real time the charging and discharging of the battery taking into consideration its state of charge, the cost of electricity from more than one source (e.g., solar energy connected in parallel with convent

ional utility power), variable electricity rates based on time of day, expected customer needs and weather. We do this not only under precisely predicted future values, but our software does something unique: it optimizes the operation of the battery on an expected value basis taking into consideration uncertainties in demand, weather and the possible need of the battery for emergency power or the needs of a pond for irrigation needs. In addition to the software, we are also able to provide the necessary control hardware, as required.
