Avoid Unnecessary Solar Power Curtailments

The production of solar at the wrong location or wrong time can result in the need for utility companies to curtail solar production, in effect "throwing away" free energy. Our smart battery management system helps avoid this situation by readying your battery to absorb energy during curtailment periods and deliver it back after curtailment needs are over.

Coordinate Multiple User Storage Options

Many users have multiple ways of storing energy, even if they are not aware of it. Hot water (whether in a pool or a tank), elevated ponds, refrigeration equipment and thermal building energy are all examples that can be integrated and managed by our BESS software to optimize energy consumption and storage.

The current electric grid is not designed to have an unlimited amount of distributed generation, which can limit users' access to renewable energy and solar production. Many private and municipal water supply stations are supplemented at least in part by solar arrays that provide some of the electricity needed for pumping. ModBESS specializes in coordinating water levels at various reservoirs with solar energy storage and other storage devices to optimize operations.
