The Angels ModBESS Solar Laboratory
To simulate custom projects and to constantly improve upon our capabilities, we developed and
installed our own electric laboratory with focus on flexibility, safety, efficiency, real world setup
and monitoring. Our software and electrical engineers have access to all data and functions
from any world location with internet access.
Our test and research laboratory utilizes an 800 Amp utility service, which can be limited to 200
Amp for standard home simulations and is connected to a 27 kWp PV rooftop solar array, with
multiple inverters. Solar inverters, batteries, battery converters and electric generators can be
quickly interchanged to customize the test site for different customer needs and situations.
At the test stand multiple loads can be manually or electronically added or cut off. For every
power source and each load, the current, voltage, power factor, reactive power, apparent
power, frequency and harmonics are constantly monitored and recorded.
Our laboratory tests components and software using resistant loads, electric motors, pumps, AC
units, EV chargers and any other real load, customized to our client’s specs. Simple domestic
and industrial plug-ins guarantee quick and safe load-source exchange.
